Deer do like bread

This is what happened when I put stale bread out for the birds this morning ...

It attracted not one ...

not two ...

but four deer came and ate ...

then left.

I woke up this morning to find this going on in my back yard:

Apparently the deer like eating the myrtle I planted. Now if only I can teach them how to use a shovel or a rake.

The Reason I don't have a Garden

I took these photos this morning before leaving for work. The top part of my yard would be an ideal place for a small vegetable garden but I would definitely have to fence it in since my urban wildlife neighbors are so comfortable just chilling back there.
